Time-Resolved Image

A time-resolved (or framing camera) image can be viewed by selecting one simulation time and clicking on the Time-Resolved Images button in the Visualizer main window. Initially, the unfiltered image is shown.

Other images types may be selected from the Image Type combo box. The list of available images will depend on what was specified in the workspace for the simulation. If more than one image is available for a particular image type, they will be listed in the combo box beneath the image type combo box; e.g. for the Additional photon energy images, the photon energies used will be listed. When an image type has been selected, clicking on the Update Plot button will show the image.

The quantity displayed in the image depends on the Image Type selected:

For an overview of how the flux at the detector is computed, see Appendix on SPECT3D Detector Fluxes.

Images at other simulation times are displayed by:

For a circularly symmetric detector, a linear plot of the intensity vs. radius can be shown by selecting the Radial line plot button in the Image options panel.

The current spatial resolution is shown in the Resolution parameters panel. The value can be changed by clicking on the Edit... button. See Spectral and Image Resolution.

For information on how to modify the plot parameters or save images from the graph, see the PrismPLOT Users Guide.
